opel kadett c 1.2 manual, was 1 owner car, full mot, but needs some cosmetic welding, picked it up from near luton,  supplied by a opel dealer seamus motors in wellingborough which is a bit weird, i moved down to wellingborough in 1994 from scotland, small world, I drove car back to Nottingham, stopping off in wellingborough to see my mate stuart, thats his kadett city in the background, its my old city i had as a daily driver for a bit, now fitted with nissan sr20de engine,   |

is that a rotary engine? this one make a nice daily till ya get the other one painted! has it all the usuall kadett rust or is it a good one?

is that a rotary engine? this one make a nice daily till ya get the other one painted! has it all the usuall kadett rust or is it a good one? yeah, rotary 230 ish bhp, thats what i bought it for as blue kadett is my daily at the min, thought orange could take its place, is not as good as i hoped, had some work before, which will need redoing to make good, and its not water tight at the min which dont help,will have a look tomorow and make my mind up. |

it could be no worse than mine that for sure a bit of time and some new metal and it'l be grand 230 bhp sounds like fun! ya never know till ya get them up in air an get a good look around to see!

had a look at her this morning,
here is a list of repair required!
sills L+R
arches L+r
spare wheel wheel
rear window surround
a posts at base
inner wings at front panel joint
front panel headlight surrounds
hole in rhs floor
so all the kadett bits
door on rhs has been repaired at some point.
not to sure how happy im with it wanted it as a daily driver to work on blue kadett bodywork, this one has some urgent jobs that require doing asap.

well done on getting another one. great colour too.
don't be too picky, rust free ones are near impossible to get, as you know. as long as you got it for a good price, and the repairs are fairly straight forward.
how's it not water tight? that is something to put right as soon as possible.

yeah needs to be water tight, leaking thro front screan, some where above central console, rear screen, quite rusty around rubber, hole in floor,rear side opening windows,
will have rear screen out around Christmas, thats the urgent one i believe, need to find some fixed side glass seals,

you gota start somewhere if its leakin water its a good a place to start as any! its got all the usual kadett bits keep at it and it be as good as new again! mine had a few bits round the rear window too i made a couple of pieces and welded them in!
