Great progress Brilliant work on the gearbox positioning ,a quick glance inside and you'd swear it was factory ;D A few q's.. 1. Are those the Manta calipers ? 2. If so , are they genuinely a 'straight swap' for the original ones ? 3.what's the difference with the GTE ARB ? Just a bit thicker diameter ?

I think if and when i do one i'll have to stick with a CIH injection unit.....just for the simplicity of wiring.......of course being colour blind doesn't really help.
Great work Aly, 8wks to go!

Starting to think the same cih would have a lot lot easier, and quicker. Mind I've never driving it yet, itching but strugling with the manifold

you're still going at a decent rate tho. i'll have to get the panhard to you some time soon. looks like a manta rad your using? a mate of mine just got quoted 160 quid by our local powerflow exhaust people, for a stainless scratch built exhaust manifold/downpipe on his cossy capri project. i didn't think that was too bad-depends how much time it saves you i guess. easy for them with all the right pipe bending gear. come to think of it, i'm sure the manta-16v exhaust manifolds start off at about 230 from ashley!! but d.i.y. always gives the most satisfaction.

Wow £160 for a manifold/downpipe, i think that's a bargain and i've not come across many powerflow places that like to do manifolds.....where's this chap based?

I think it was the Hull powerflow franchise, they're closest to us. but apparently that quote was with my friend supplying the flange plate part that bolts up to the head. (maybe he chopped up an old manifold he got with the cossy engine?!) anyway if the quote was just for the pipework part then they're still making some profit i guess, depends how quick the guy is at fabbing and welding.
