I've only just got round to joining, but it seems my car got here first;
cos I found this in the photo thread
It was a shoddy bog stock 1200S when I bought it back in September 1996. Sorted the structural / body side of things at work and got it back on the road by April 1997 in standard form.
But that couldn't last ;D
Eventually spoke to a helpful chap called Alistair through the Opel Group and did my first engine swap (other than like for like) and swapped in a CIH. Then blew it up a few months later
Then came Manta 1.8 running gear, which worked well for a few years before it died. Giving me an excuse to fit the SRI 130 engine I had. Then along came a Manta A axle and it's the most sorted it's ever been. Pity the years of being outside have taken thier toll and the poor thing really needs to come off the road for some structural welding 
Oh well.
I'll get a proper project thread sorted when I get the chance
