very VERY near getting the Kadett rolling again after nearly 3 years!!
I just need a little help from you guys with XE'd Kadett's. What clutch cables are you using?
Can i pick one up from a motor factors that fit straight onto the Kadett pedel and onto the 1.8 Manta box?

glad to hear another kadett is getting an xe. on my last kadett with 1.8 manta engine and box it was using a chevette clutch cable. i'm running an xe in my current kadett but not sure what cable was used, as the car was an auto and had to have the pedal fitted, and i got it fitted by someone else. i will find out though and post it up soon, best of luck.

i would start with the 1.8 cable, as the gearbox side will be ok, should fit onto pedal, and if there is any slack in the outer you can space it untill pedal has slight play, or try the 1.2 cable if this does not work out, let us know how you get on,
ive never done an xe conversion myself,

i ran a 1.2 kadett one with my manta box, i took off the machined collar/spacer that fits into the bulkhead as i needed the inner cable to be slightly longer, i then had to make up a washer to stop the cable pulling through the bulkhead and i think i ran some insulation tape aroud the diameter of the part that fits into the bulkhead as it was smaller than the receiving hole in the bulkhead. you have probably done this by now but its on here for future ref now if needed
